More weaving

I made two more pieces on the weekend. That's about all I was able to accomplish, except about 5 rows on two socks.
Oh, and lots of sitting and staring in the air, attending to sick hubby (cold and fever), and generally just doing nothing.

The bigger piece has homespun yarn (solid grayish/purplish shade) by Sherri,
and the smaller piece has also homespun yarn, by Sherri, tambien.
That is the yarn on top of the smaller piece, looks like purple, and below and at the bottom the same grayish/purplish homespun as the bigger piece.

Don't you just love the words I use for colors.

I am eagerly waiting for my new weaving looms, one is spear's and the other is potholder loom,
both of them on the way. It's going to be a mail waiting week, as I have some books coming in, also.

The books that have been shipped are:

However, they are coming from the USA, so it will take some time before I am able to enjoy any of my recent purchases.

Another Coral Reef

I'm not going to get my doll done tonight, since I am on crochet gear. I made this Reef tonight, after I got home from work.

Saturday, March 15th:

No doll work last night; instead another coral reef, this time in color coral.

Coral Reef Fairy

Here she is: Coral Reef Fairy.

This is something that I have not done before, and I like it,

at least for now. I have noticed that my inspiration for new things

isn't always long lasting. However, I will try to finish some other

Coral Reef projects, since I can use my imagination to make them.

It is somewhat hard for me to follow a pattern, so I find this method relaxing and inspirational.

Thanks to Barbara, who guided me to basics, and I have been following her "instructions" and continued from those first steps.

I started, and didn't follow the pattern carefully (me? tsk tsk) and here is a picture of the first part, and the second one, which is bigger, because this second time I followed the pattern.




Oh, and last night I also started adding an edging to that coral reef I made earlier. I used mohair yarn, which was a little bit too heavy, so I dediced that the coral was lopsided and somewhat broken.








And to keep the momentum going, I started a new hyperbolic plane, but didn't get too far, because the Berrocco pattern was tickling my interest, too. Here is a start for my second HP

Coral Reef

This is my first try on a hyperbolic plane.





I am planning to make some more, and different ones. Perhaps I will make them nice enough to donate for the Coral Reef program.
